Am 21. November 2018 hat das QuantERA-Netzwerk seine zweite Ausschreibung im Bereich Quantentechnologien gestartet. In diesem Rahmen werden innovative, multidisziplinäre Projekte gefördert, die neue Ansätze in diesem Technologiefeld initiieren und damit helfen, eine Führungsrolle Europas in diesem Bereich aufzubauen.

Application and evaluation procedure
A one stage application procedure (joint submission of short and full proposals) will be open for consortia composed of researchers from at least three countries participating in the QuantERA Call 2019.
The coordinator compiles a short and a full proposal using the templates available below and submits them via the Electronic Submission System (ESS): she or he uploads the project description in the ESS and enters the administrative and financial project data in the ESS.
Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Deadline
The deadline for submitting short and full proposals is February 18th, 2019, 17.00 Central European Time.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.
QuantERA aims at spreading research excellence throughout the whole European Research Area. Therefore, proposal consortia are encouraged to include partners from the widening countries participating in the call: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.

German funding criteria and regulations
Funding for German applicants under this call will be granted based on §§ 23 and 44 BHO (‘Bundeshaushaltsordnung’) and the related administrative regulations and BMFTR guidelines. An entitlement to funding cannot be derived.
In particular, the national regulations NABF, NKBF 2017 and BNBest-mittelbarer Abruf-BMFTR apply. The documents can be found at: foerderportal.bund.de/easy/easy_index.php
In order to be eligible for BMFTR funding project proposals must demonstrate an added benefit due to the transnational cooperation.
Funding of German participants is available:
Proposals involving companies shall include a scheme towards subsequent application and/or future commercial use of the expected results.
Forms to be submitted
No additional national forms are required at pre-proposal or full proposal stage.
Successful German participants are requested to provide complete BMFTR application forms (AZA/AZK including annexes) within three months after the official notification of the project selection. Non-compliance may result in exclusion.
Funding limits
The requested BMFTR funding must amount to at least 100 k€ per German partner over the entire duration of a project.
Moreover, at least 50 % of the total eligible costs/expenses on the part of the German participant(s) must be personnel costs/expenses.
